Six New Sports Legends Introduced to Athletics Hall of Fame in Tennessee

Athletic Department at the University of Tennessee revealed six new athletes that will join Athletics Hall of Fame this year. Women’s basketball star Candace Parker leads the group. The Hall of Fame induction dinner will happen on October 25 at the Student Union on campus. 

Besides Parker, the class of 2019 includes ex-football-coach Doug Dickey, baseball pitcher R. A. Dickey, and Olympic swimmer Christine Magnuson. Legendary administrator Gus Manning and Olympic runner Tony Parrilla are also joining this prestigious list. 

These athletes have been chosen to join the Athletic Hall of Fame thanks to their excellent sports accomplishments. During their respective careers, they showed true sportsmanship which makes them great ambassadors of the University of Tennessee. 

The official induction event will occur during the weekend of October 25 and 26. The induction dinner will happen on October 25, and fans can buy tickets for this event for $75. On the following day, Tennessee Vols will play with South Carolina Gamecocks. The new Hall-of-Famers will be watching the match, and the University will present them to the audience.
